14" maple snare drum with highly resonant shell and gorgeous indigo gloss finish
The TAMA Artwood maple snare drum is an excellent mixture of tone, sensitivity and surprising value. It's built with a 6-ply, 100% maple shell at 5 mm thickness. This relatively thin build projects a balanced tone that blends upper-frequency clarity with rich mids and warm lows. The 6.5" depth gives the drum enough heft to cover a wide array of music styles, for expressive performance and recording. The hardware includes 2.3 mm triple-flanged Mighty Hoops, Quick Touch strainer and butt plate and 20-strand snare wires. Evans G1 Coated batter head and Evans 300 snare side head produce professional tone, right out of the box.
